Brooke Tuma was born and raised in Kansas. In May 2020, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography degree from Kansas State University. She will continue her education at Texas Tech University to receive her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts degree. She has been a member of the Society of Photographic Education since 2017 and has been a member of K-State’s Photo Club since 2017 and club Vice-President since 2019. She is a photographic artist who works primarily with analog and alternative photographic processes. The focal point of her work is on the materiality of the photograph and the chemical process used to create each image. Her work has been exhibited in Albuquerque, NM, Houston, TX, and Manhattan, KS.
